My girls got their ears pierced!!

So Ashley decides yesterday she wants another hole in each ear. After the girls' Orthodontist appointment today, we stop in at our local Wal*Mart and get her ears done. She got her first ones done just shy of 5, and she decided she was ready. She did very well again this time around, no tears or anything. They are kinda hard to see in the picture, but they are pink gems right behind her white hoops.

Then Kaitlyn sees her earrings and decides that SHE wants some 'Ears'. She likes to try to put the girls' earrings in her ears, even though she doesn't have any holes. I tried to explain to her that it was going to hurt, but trying to talk sense to a 2 year old is like, well, trying to shit a gold bar. Of course, she made a scene in Wal*Mart, and naturally Ryan had to jump on the band wagon too. It made me never want to venture out in public with the younger two ever again. Fine. You can get your damn ears pierced.

I finally get some help at the counter (damn I hate that Wal*Mart in New Bern! They suck!), and the girl asks me if I want her ears done one at a time or both at once. Duh? You even need to ask me that?? Do it both at once, because if you do it one at a time, well, you are only going to get one ear done.

They sit her down and as soon as they clamp down on her ears, she stiffens and screams. BLOODY MURDER. So, of course that isn't enough.....now Ryan must too scream like a banshee. I am talking BUST YOUR EAR DRUMS. Everyone in New Bern was looking at us. *sigh*

Once she finally got calmed down, she loves her 'pretties' but doesn't want anyone touching them. I don't know, she thinks I am gonna take them? Anyway. Here's a pic of her earrings. And one of Ryan, just cause he's so cute!!!

Double ear infection, 4 wheeler and a trampoline

Today has been a loooong day. Not to mention this weekend.
Kaitlyn did not sleep well at all this weekend. I thought maybe it was just gas, or teeth. I took her in to the doc today, and she has a double ear infection, respiratory infection, stomach bug and bronchitis. *sigh* Ryan has a respiratory infection and stomach bug (AGAIN!! For the THIRD time in a month!!!), and I am pretty sure he is working on more teeth. So, Dustin and I took leave for the week. He was off today and tomorrow, and I will be taking off Wednesday through Friday. I just hope this will be enough time to get them to feeling much better.

I got home from work and everyone seemed to be in surprisingly good spirits. The girls were riding the four wheeler, so Dustin and I took the little ones outside too. Dustin and I took turns giving them rides on the 4 wheeler and jumping on the trampoline. I think the fresh air did everyone good, as Ryan is sleeping now and Kaitlyn isn't far off. She is currently screaming "NO!" at Haley, because Haley took away the pack of wipes that she was strewing about the house. ;)
Kaitlyn and Daddy. Titan likes to chase them around!

Haley, Ryan and Ashley watching Kaitlyn take her turn on the 4 wheeler.

Ry Ry's turn! First time on a 4 wheeler! He loved it!

Kaitlyn loves the trampoline and bouncing with her sisters!

Ryan likes it too!

Pics of the kiddos!!!

Trying to figure this whole blog thing out. Here are some recent pictures of my kids (and two of the 'big kid' too....)
My husband is just a big kid himself!!

She just got done washing his back.....

Teaching Haley to fish....

Ashley fishing at Ordnance Point

Good thing Kaitlyn didn't see this. He kept kissing her doll.

He doesn't much care for this. She is heavy and makes it hard for him to get around...

Until the next time.....

My first post!

Okay, so I have copied this idea from a friend (Thanks Liz!) to keep friends and family updated on the kids.

The kids are seeming to grow at warp speed. Ashley is 8, Haley is 7, Kaitlyn is 2 and Ryan is 1. The girls are doing awesome in school, they are almost done with the second grade. Kaitlyn is all over the place and into everything! She is definitely our little tom boy. Ryan is desperately trying to walk without the assistance of his push walker. Just yesterday, he took 5 steps by himself before landing squarely on Indy's back!

I will attempt to update this post weekly, along with pics of the kids!
